Getting older is getting more devastating with every passing year. I wish I was 18 forever. I'm scared of getting older, truly. I'm scared of time passed and I'm scared of the declining health that comes with old age. It feels like I haven't accomplished much of anything since high school, and I've been graduated for almost four years now. I've tried to move out twice now and both times failed miserably. I haven't had much success in college. I honestly have no idea what I want to do as a career. I've been in the same job for four years now, and I guess I'm scared to leave it.
It's hard not to compare myself to friends and family members who appear to "sail through" this time of life; the ones that are graduating, married, and with kids. I guess the things I've accomplished have been smaller, hard-learned life lessons. That's what I'll keep telling myself anyway.
Anyways, my birthday was good, besides the fact that I got older. Cord took me to Olive Garden and it was delicious, and he gave me a gift card to Kohl's which was awesome cuz I am in desperate need of new clothes. My family is coming over tonight to celebrate and that will be fun.
And that is life.

Snow
Okay, anyone that knows me at all knows that I hate the snow. I hate the wetness, I hate the cold, and most of all I hate driving in it.
Last night something strange happened. Cord and I were headed up his road and it was snowing, and we had to stop so he could put chains on his tires. We were stuck on the dirt road in the "forest" for about 45 minutes, and I had to roll down the windows so I could hear whether he wanted me to back the car up or pull it forward a little bit. And do you know what I heard? Complete silence. It was beautiful. Seeing the snow fall, the trees all frosted in white, it was amazing. It made me want to go hiking right then and there. Which I didn't because it was freezing. But really, I've always looked at snow as an enemy, when really it's one of the most peaceful things in the world.
Let's see what else happened this week... Cord and I went to the Melting Pot to celebrate Valentine's Day. It was great I love that place :) I also went to Tepanyaki with my family for my birthday. Those are my two favorite restaurants, so it was a good week.
Life is good :)

Valentimes is Serious Times!
Tomorrow is Valentines Day. Ugh. As someone who hates love, obviously I'm not a fan. There is nothing more sickening than a couple holding hands and gazing into each other's eyes. No, I lied. There is something more sickening. Kissing in public. When I see this occurring, it takes all the self restraint I hold within me to refrain from throwing something at the offending party. And now we get to celebrate that. Great.
Anyways, this last week has been crazy busy. I had three tests and a five-page paper due. That's what I love about college. All your professors conveniently plan tests all within the same week. Good think I love studying so much. And the best news is, now I won't have anything due in college for approximately a month.
Hm. And that's really all I have this week.

Superbowl Sunday...
Is boring. That's why I'm doing homework instead.
Anyway, this week has been ROUGH. I feel like I've slept through most of it. I recently started some new medication and it's been making me sleep oh... about 15 hours a day. No bueno.
And now a shout out to some certain people. Yes, Jamie Graham's blog to "certain" people inspired me.
1. To boys who try and use lame lines to steal somone away from their boyfriend- stop. No, you aren't charming, and yes, you're just embarrassing yourself and annoying the heck out of me.
2. To lame girls who can't seem to get their own life and spend WAY too much time and energy talking crap on someone else- Lame. That's why your name is Lamy.
3. To friends that are there for you no matter what- You are awesome. It's times like these I lean on you, and words can't describe how grateful I am.
Ok the end. Have a great week.
