December is such a busy month for us. With holiday activities, our anniversary, and Cord's birthday, we definitely have plenty to do (and plenty to buy). We have a couple holiday traditions we like to try and do every year, those being Festival of Trees and seeing the lights at Temple Square. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures at Festival of Trees, but here are a couple of Temple Square. It was so warm this year!
For our 3rd anniversary this year, we decided to do a little getaway since Aria is old enough to be left with grandparents overnight. It was Cord's turn to plan it, so he made us a reservation up at the Anniversary Inn in Logan. I love Anniversary Inn way too much ha ha. It was so fun to get away, even if it was only an overnight thing.
Christmas was even more fun than last year! (Now that Aria sort of gets it..) Christmas Eve we went out to dinner with Cord's family to Mimi's Cafe. Christmas Day we spent with my side of the family this year. Aria liked opening the presents, but got bored after like two, so luckily we went for quality, not quantity :) I think her favorite gift was the little kitchen Santa brought her. She loves to go over to her stove and "stir" things in her little green pot.
New Year's Eve was Cord's birthday, so we ended up going out to dinner. He turned 27 this year and I think both of us are feeling a little bit depressed that we are closer to 30 than 20 these days. Where has the time gone??
In other news, Cord is in his last week of his current job and starts his next one as an Operations Manager in a week. He is also starting school on Monday. I actually feel a little sad about this; it's been so nice having him home every night after work instead of in class, but I know school is worth it :)
I did a couple classes online last semester, but I think I am taking a break this one for financial reasons. Um school is ridiculously expensive.
Happy New Year!
