January is Already Over!

This is one of the best, and worst, things about getting older.  How much quicker time passes!

This past month:

  1. Cord started his "School of Assembly" at work, which is basically just a six-week class where he learns how to do cool stuff.
  2. Sloan picked out her wedding dress, and we got to tag along.
  3. Garrett received his mission call!  Quezon City, (I think) in the Philippines!  He leaves May 22 (I think).
  4. I started my Natural Disasters class.  Driving up to the U is fun.
Once again I'm sucking at taking pictures.  I really need to get on that.

So one of my goals this year is to get more organized, with life in general.  I'm one of those people that if something isn't organized, it eats at the back of my brain.
I bought a book by a professional organizer that's a 12-month guide of how to get organized in a year.  January was "Organizing the Kitchen", which my kitchen really needs because when we moved in, we were in a hurry to get things put away, and things got thrown in random cupboards.  I'm already a little behind (ironic) because I should be done with this step, so I'm working on that this week.  We'll see how it goes...

One of Cord and my goal's this year was to attend the temple once a month.  We were a little late for January, but we went Saturday for the first time this year.  We went to the Brigham City Temple, cuz we figured we are just as close as we are to Bountiful now.  Little did we know that sessions are NOT every half hour; we got there at 5 and the next session wasn't til 6:30.  So we decided to do sealings instead.  We had a cool experience and got to learn something new; we did sealings for kids to their parents.  Up until now I had no idea how that was done!  It was neat.
