New Apartment, First Anniversary

It's been forever!  Mostly because all my stuff has been packed away.

We got moved into our new apatrtment about three weeks ago.  It's a nice little two bedroom in Riverdale.  Bigger than our last one!

This last weekend was our first anniversary!  We are switching off years planning what to do for it, and this year it was Cord's turn.  He got us a night up in Midway (kind of by Kamas) at the Zermatt Resort.  It's a Swiss-themed hotel, and it was just lightly snowing the whole time.  It was great!  Oh and we went to the Copper Onion for dinner (that's where we went the day we got engaged).  We ate our year-old wedding cake on Sunday, and today I got flowers and chocolates sent to me!

Hmmmm what else...
I am working at Zions Peak Time, Cord is working at L-3, I am taking one class starting in January, Kuzco is almost a year old and still tiny, and Harley is nearly six months old and huge.  Yep that's it!

Life is Frustrating and Weird and I'm Not Sure I Like It.

Lately on my mind has been the concept of how and why things tend to happen the way they do.  Fate?  Luck?  God's plan?
Yes, most likely the latter.  Nursing school not working out was a huge blow to me.  For a few months, I had a plan, and it felt awesome.  I knew what I was going to do, when I'd be done, and that I was almost guaranteed a job when I was done.  More than that, I knew that I'd LOVE it.  After finding out it wasn't going to work out, I felt a little lost.  Now what?  I almost signed on to do Stevens-Henager's program (a lot more expensive), but for some reason I couldn't put my finger on, just felt wrong about it.  So here I am, back to the U plan, with no idea what I should major in.
On to the next major thing in life.  Cord and I decided we should buy a house rather than rent again.  It's an excellent time to buy, we can afford it, and it would be a great investment.  So we get pre-qualified, find ourselves an agent, and find ourselves the perfect little house.  And I have a great feeling about it.  Everything is on track for us to close in less than a month.  I will have my own home before Christmas!
Too good to be true, I guess.  We find out that if you work for a temp. agency, which Cord "technically" does, you have to be working there for at least a year for a mortgage company to count it as income.  We try to explain to them that he is not a temp, he is contracted-to-hire, which means that he will have a job with Superior Technical Resources until L-3 officially hires him on.  Not good enough, though.
Awesome.
So now what do I do??  We are currently trying to get the whole mess figured out.  In a week's time, hopefully we will know a lot more about where we'll be living next.
Cord's handling the disappointment a lot better than I am.  I hate change, and I hate not having a plan.  Which is exactly what is happening right now.  He keeps telling me that maybe we're just not meant to get that house.  Ugh Cord.  Stop being so wise.
That scripture in D&C keeps popping into my head.  Maybe God is trying to tell me something?  Yeah, probably.  "Search diligently, pray and always, and be believing, and all things shall work together for your good."
Ok fine.  I'll keep trying to do that.

I Can't Find Anything

It's tragic.  Where's my checkbook?  No idea.  Where are my jackets?  No idea.  Bottom line; next time I move, I will be more organized.  Or quicker at unpacking, one of the two.  All our stuff is still sitting in a pile, waiting for me to sort it into "storage" or "keep with us".  I'll get to it... eventually.

Now that Cord and I are both working two jobs, it feels like Christmas every week when we get two paychecks each Friday.  Cord is gone so much though.  It's sad.

I've worked at the Wight House a couple weeks now; it's fun.  I dunno if I'll be able to keep doing it when I start school again though.

Goodbye Layton

So this is our last week in our little apartment.  I suppose it's a little bittersweet.  This was our first apartment after all...  But mostly I'm excited.  Because this place is SMALL.  Our bathroom and kitchen are tiny.   So I've been slowly packing boxes of kitchen stuff, and now we are living off bread and soup for the next couple days.
We met with a realtor yesterday and started looking for houses.  It's sort of exciting, we've already found 2 or 3 that we like and are going to look at this week.  For now, we'll be living at Cord's parents' house.
Kuzco update:  He is 7 months old now, and still a little bit crazy.  He is going to have to get his toe amputated because it's not getting any better, and they have no idea what's wrong with him.
Harley is growing like crazy.  She's already bigger and weighs more than Kuzco.  All they do is fight-play.  They like it a lot.
Did I already say this?  I don't remember.  Cord got a job at L3.  I am so proud of him!  It's a great job, and he can move up pretty quick.
I started a very part-time job at the Wight House, mostly because I have a secret dream to work in the wedding business.

On Getting Old, Camping, and Other Stuff

Okay, a horrible change has taken place in my life.  I can no longer sleep past 8.  Seriously?

I spent this past week camping with Cord's family.  We took the puppies, and it was super fun.  Here I am, about to go out on a hunt with Cord.
On one of these days, me and Cord went fishing all day in a boat.  I got a horrible sunburn, but caught five fish.  I could only keep one though.  Cord got one too, and we had trout for dinner that night.
On the last day of the hunt, Cord shot an elk.  He was so excited.  We got 160-ish pounds of meat out of it!  Yay.

We got back late late late Friday night, and on Saturday I went to my friend Sara's wedding.  How exciting!

Change

Anyone that knows me knows that I don't do too well with change.  I'm one of those people that has to have everything planned out.  If I don't, I just stress about what is going to happen.
Lately, it seems like all life has been about is change.  Ever since getting married and moving out, change, change, change.
I was supposed to start nursing school this past Monday.  Unfortunately, the school I was going to be doing at it didn't actually get the accreditation they were so sure they'd get.  40G's is a lot to put towards a maybe in the future.  So, I dropped out at the last second.
Which left me with an entry-level job two days a week, and absolutely no idea what to do now.  I laid in bed depressed about it for a day.  Then I figured I'd better get my butt in gear and find something else.  Right now, the most likely plan is that I will be doing Stevens-Henager's program instead.  If I do, I start in 3 weeks.  Not too bad of a setback.
I can't believe how quickly time has passed.  It's already time for us to move out of this little apartment in a month.  After realizing that unless we want to move to a college town, we will be spending no less than $800 a month on rent alone, we decided it's time to buy a house.  So we are moving in to Cord's parents' house for 2-3 months while we find a house, put in an offer, and get moved in.  More change!  Yikes!
One good change happened though; we started "theoretically" talking about getting another puppy.  This one would be "Cord's puppy" since I got Kuzco mostly for me.  Anyone that knows Cord knows that he has always wanted a lab.  So, we probably got a baby lab/heeler two weeks ago.  We named her Harley.
She is a hard little puppy.  She whines, cries, howls, potties all over, and chews on EVERYTHING.  We now realize that Kuzco was a little angel.  But it's okay, we love her.  And luckily so does Kuzco.

I've had a fun end to summer.  A couple weeks ago I went to Disneyland with my family.  It was so much fun.  I will always love that place.
I am leaving tomorrow to join Cord and his family on their annual hunting trip.  Me and Kuzco are driving down to meet them, and we are staying all week.  I will probably be fishing, not hunting.  Ha.  So I guess there's one benefit of not doing school right this second after all.... :)

8.12.2012

Update and Stuff...

Ok, well, I'm back at the bank again.  Yahoo.  :)  I've got like two more weeks til nursing starts.  I am going to Disneyland with the family next week!  Kuzco is awesome.  We are doing some serious apartment shopping now, since our lease is up at the end of next month.  The end!

7.08.2012

July 8, 2012

Well, I got into nursing school!  (On the condition that I pass physiology and anatomy :))  Ha.  No worries.  It's going to be a lot of work!  But with any luck, in 18 months I'll be done!

I am most likely going to be trying to get a job this next week.  Life is expensive!

Kuzco got his first hair cut this past week- he looks really small now.  Cord thinks he looks ugly; I think he looks cute.  Whatever.

7.01.2012

St. George

After a week of tests, we finally got to go to St. George!  We left Kuzco with my parents, and took off on Friday morning.  Friday evening, we went to the St. George temple.

Saturday, we went to Zion National Park to hike The Narrows.  We ended up hiking for like 5 hours, it was crazy!

There was a sign posted on our hike that said, "Do not feed animals.  $100 fine."  Now we know why.

The squirrels were not at all afraid of people!  They were seriously holding their hands out, begging.  Oh my.

The bad part of the trip was the time I didn't drink enough water during our hike, and got a touch of heat exhaustion.  I was sick with a massive headache and stomachache the rest of the night.

Sunday we drove home.  On our way we stopped at the Brigham Young winter home, and Cove Fort.  We got tours at both places.  Cord especially enjoyed them.

Overall we had a lot of fun!  It's amazing how a short trip like that can leave you feeling refreshed!

6.24.2012

Busy busy!

This past week:

  • Was my friend Kaitlyn's wedding!  It was beautiful.  This was the first sealing I've been to since my own, and what a wonderful experience it was!  I'm so happy for Kaitlyn and JJ!
  • Was Kuzco's last round of puppy shots.  When examining Kuzco, the vet found a big huge infection on one of his toes!  Poor thing.  We didn't even see it because he has so much fur.  So now we have to rub ointment on him twice a day (he hates that), and give him an antibiotic twice a day (he loves this part, because it tastes like vanilla).

  • Was my last week of chemistry, and I got an A out of the class.  Hooray.
  • I had my first clinical.  Oh boy.
  • We taught our first primary lesson.  (Actually Cord did, and he did a great job)

Kuzco's new dog tag!  Cracks me up.

Love this little guy!

6.19.2012

6 Months!

First off, I know I said I'd put up pictures this week, but I didn't take any!  Fail.

I finished my CNA class!  Well, the class portion.  I start my clinicals this Saturday.  Needless to say, 12 hours a week just opened up for me.  I desperately need this study time.  My chemistry class ends this week, and then I'll be left with just anatomy and physiology.  Thank goodness!

I had the opportunity to attend a friend from high school's baby's funeral.  It was so hard!  Definitely the hardest funeral to get through that I've ever been to.  How comforting to know that they'll see him again!

We celebrated Father's Day with both of our families.  We are lucky to live so close to both of them.

Cord and I have been called to work in the primary!  It seems like we aren't going to have our own class though; all we did last week was sit with a really big, naughty class.  So I guess we are just there for moral support?  Oh well, it will be a nice change from relief society... heh heh.

And although we did absolutely nothing to celebrate it, we reached our six-month anniversary of our wedding on Saturday!  Congratulations to us.  I can't believe it's already been six months, time has gone by so quickly!

Nursing Entrance Tests... Done!

Yay!  I was nervous, but I passed!  Apps are due on Friday, and then no more worrying about it!
School is crazy lately.  Of course.  I had a test every day this last week.  If everything goes as planned, I'll be done with my CNA class this week, and chemistry will be done in two weeks.

We are loving little Kuzco!  His favorite thing to do is go outside and run in the grass.  We took him to the park this last week, and it made his whole month.

I need to start taking more pictures!  Ever since we got married, I've gotten so lazy!  That can be my goal this week, take more pictures.

Cord and I are starting to look for a new apartment for the fall.  We want to find something cheaper and bigger!

I wish I had cooler stuff to say!  Maybe next week.

6.03.2012

Giving Up Sugar Is Really, Super Hard

Like really.  You have no idea.  So far I'm failing.

School is real hard still.  I had my first physiology test this last week, and I did better than I thought I'd do, but not as well as I would have liked.  Not excited for my anatomy test this week.
This week is gonna be crazy school-wise.  I have to go to a four hour CPR class.  Four hours?  Really?  Oh well.  Sounds like I'll be quite the expert.  On Friday I have all these nursing entrance exams to take.  Literally I think it'll be an all day thing.  Yay!

We are loving our little Kuzco puppy.  He's super crazy, which makes him super funny.  He's barking a lot now though.  No bueno.
Wow.  I sound like a parent about my kid.

My little brother Garrett graduated from high school this past week, so I went to graduation with my parents and sister.  Last high school graduation for a really long time!

Oh yeah, I forgot Memorial Day.  Cord went on a motorcycle ride with his dad, and I basically watched a season of Scrubs.  That is a really good use of time.  That evening, my parents took us and Garrett and his girlfriend to dinner and then to Boondocks to mini-golf and bowl.  I'm not sure which one I'm better at.  And by better I mean worse.

I am really excited for the end of this month!  Stuff happening:

  • My friend Kaitlyn's wedding!  I am so excited and happy for her!
  • St. George trip!  You know you're a real adult when you are this excited for a quick weekend getaway.
  • FOURTH OF JULY!  aka, best holiday ever.  besides Halloween.
  • I'll know whether I got into nursing school or not!!
  • I'll probably start looking for a new job as a CNA.  Why did I include this in exciting stuff??

5.27.2012

Life Right Now

  • School is hard.  Like, really hard.  To be specific, chemistry and CNA are easy.  Physiology and anatomy are excruciating.
  • I have to apply for nursing school soon, and I am nervous.
  • Scrubs is probably one of my favorite TV shows of all time.
  • I love my puppy Kuzco.  He brightens my day, every day.
  • I am very excited for me and Cord's trip to St. George at the end of June.  Tuacahn Theatre, hiking the narrows, and a break from reality.... yes please.
  • I am going off sugar... no really, I am.  For the whole month of June, no sugar.  Really.
  • Ummmm... yeah, that's about it.

5.06.2012

Nursing School!... Well, Almost

I start school tomorrow!  This is the first time I have ever done summer school.  Can't say I'm too thrilled for the summer part of it, but I am excited to be starting this whole program.  I am taking chemistry, anatomy, and physiology, and a CNA course.  After the summer, I will be admitted into the nursing program!  Hooray.

4.29.2012

Oops... I'm Back.

I've kind of sucked at blogging lately!  Hmmmm... what's new?

This last week, we went to The Melting Pot for Garrett's 18th birthday.  As always, it was delicious.

Cord just finished up his mandatory two week military thing he has to do once a year.  He loves that kind of thing.

I officially got accepted into DATC for the summer CNA program.  I had to answer questions like so:

Billy goes into a building.  He finds a book.  He checks the book out.  What kind of store is Billy in?

a.  bank
b.  library
c.  grocery store
d.  gas station

Let's just say it was a close call.  Anyway, I start CNA classes in a week.  Yay.

A lot of our time has been occupied by our new little puppy named Kuzco.  He is a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, and he is almost 10 weeks old.  We love him!  Cord does too, even though he doesn't like to admit it.

4.24.2012

"Cold like an arctic mist, I dampen your spirit and your soul.  I fill your thoughts with gloom.  When I am with you, you are but a withered leaf beneath wet snow with nowhere to go.  Still, I can do much more.  I can fill your mind with graveyard thoughts and make you teary.  I can cause you to complain and bicker.  I can make you feel uncertain.  I can drain all pleasure from your life.  I can drive laughter into the shadows.  I can dig you into a hole so deep that you can't see the top.  I can then overwhelm you with thoughts of helplessness and hopelessness, so you won't try to get out.  I alone can control what you feel and do."

3.21.2012

Spring.

Yay!  Not that winter was so bad.

Here's an update on life lately.

-First of all, I suck at taking pictures.  I don't think I've taken one all year!  I will put up pictures of the puppies SOON, I swear.
-Speaking of the puppies, we sold one :(  We sold Lucky, because there is just a lot going on right now, and we didn't feel like we could take care of both of them as well as we would have liked to.  Sage seems to be happy as an "only puppy" though.
-We took Spring Break in Moab.  Moab is pretty, but not as pretty as St. George/Zions if you ask me.  Highlight of the trip?  Me trying to mountain bike on slick rock.  Hilarious.
-I think I am going to nursing school!  How exciting is that?
-Cord got a job for the summer as a "sprinkler repair man".  Thank goodness he got a job!

Now I just need to start taking pictures of all these events!  That's my life goal.

3.14.2012

Working and Blogging.

Working is all I do.  That and sleeping.  Hmmmmmm.... Update.  We went over Christmas yeah?  Well then like a week later, it was Cord's 24th birthday!  Happy 24th birthday Cord.  I got him a grill.  A genuine charcoal one.  I think he secretly loves it.
Birthday surprise number two:  It's a good story.
I stopped at PetCo to pick up some fish food.  As I make my way up to the check-out counter with my $3 purchase, I see a Cat Lady.  You know the kind I'm speaking of.  The old lady who has no family, so fills the void by purchasing/adopting about 20 cats.  She had about fourty cans (no I'm not exaggerating) of cat food, and took about ten seconds to set each can on the counter to be scanned.  Seriously?
Then I heard puppies barking.  Pretty sure that's a sign, right?  So I went and saw the puppies, and they were adorable, and I called my husband named Cord and made him come see the puppies too, and long story short, we adopted them and took them home that very night.  They are adorable.  One is a chihuahua mix, and we named her Sage.  She is crazy.  She likes to bury bones in imaginary dirt, she is constantly happy, and she has never-ending energy.  Then there is Lucky.  He is a chihuahua mixed with a mini-pinscher, and he kind of reminds me of Eeyore.  He looks down all the time, and hides a lot because he's pretty much scared of everything. But he loves sitting on peoples' laps.  It's his favorite.
Let's see what else... Um... Valentine's Day prank.  Good times.
Remember that one time Cord played a joke on me and called it a proposal?  Me too.
I can play this game too.  I faked a pregnancy test to say "positive" and gave it to Cord as a present for V-Day.  Then I let him believe it for about two hours.  Ha ha.  Funny me.

Now the sad part.  We love the above-mentioned puppies.  But for a couple different reasons, we can't take care of them right now... so we are selling them :(.  Makes me sad.

3.07.2012

I Am Probably Really Excited About This.

Watch this video.  Seriously.

In case you don't, I'll summarize.

First off, some history.  Joseph Kony leads a rebel group called the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) that kidnaps children from their home, forces them to kill their own parents, join the army, become sex slaves, and lots of other bad news stuff.  He's done this to over 30,000 children.  He has no cause, other than being a power-hungry jerk-face.

Independent American film-maker goes to Africa.  Meets a boy that has escaped from Joseph Kony's LRA.  The boy, named Jacob, watched his brother get murdered by this LRA group.  They are bad guys.  Kind of like the bad guys on Star Wars.
Anyways, Independent film-maker promises Jacob he will end the LRA.  Big promise.  Film maker comes home, talks to the government about it (they say there's nothing they can do), so he starts telling anyone and everyone that will listen all about it.
Now that the people are demanding it, Obama sends 100 troops to Africa to help the Uganda military find Kony.
Bottom line:  Invisible Children (that's the name of Independent film-maker's organization) has a goal to catch Kony by the end of 2012.  To do this, they are making everyone AWARE of who he is and what he's done.  That way, the world's governments can't ignore it.

This is a new concept to me.  Now that communication has gone global, we are no longer separated by the boundaries of a state, country, or even continent.  Joseph Kony is not only a criminal in Uganda, or even Africa.  He is a criminal that, like Hitler, is a menace to the human race.

So let's do something about it!  Seriously.  I am so in.

Our First Christmas

How nauseatingly cute.

Christmas was crazy!  Mostly because we got back into town the day before Christmas Eve.  Our apartment was a MESS.  It was a little depressing.  Cord had to work all day Christmas Eve til six, so I spent the day at my parents' house, and then Cord met us at my Aunt Julie's for dinner.
For Christmas presents, Cord and I agreed on a low spending limit for each other's gifts since we had just dropped a few grand on our honeymoon.  Ha ha.  Cord gave me a super cute bamboo plant, and I gave him a bunch of little stuff.
Here we have Cord with all his presents.  Score.

And here is me, with my new bamboo plant.

Christmas day was spend with Cord's family; we pretty much spent the whole day with them :)  I had a great Christmas, but I think I'll enjoy next year better.... less stress you know?  :)

2.19.2012

Honeymoon!

Once upon a time, we went on our honeymoon!  The day after our wedding.  We flew out on Saturday, and came back the following Friday.  For those of you that didn't know, we went to Disney World!

The bad things:

  • The rude lady behind me on the plane ride that, when I tried to recline my seat, shoved it forward.  Seriously??
  • Our shuttle bus not showing up when we arrived at the Orlando airport... at 11:30 at night
  • Leaving my itinerary that included all our confirmation numbers and everything, in our taxi cab on the way to our hotel.
  • The two hour wait in line for "Test Track."  Soooooo boring.
  • Best one:  Having to be patted down in airport security since I still had the 100+ bobby pins in my hair from the wedding, and THEN them searching my bag and finding an old pocket knife that had fallen into ripped lining at the bottom of my purse.  Awesome.

The good:

  • Being able to check our luggage for free!  Thank you, US military.
  • Our hotel.  Loved it!
  • The food.  Amazing, amazing, amazing.  My favorite:  All of it.  Cord's:  Either the Moroccan restaurant, or the Norwegian.
  • The worker at the ice-cream stand that gave me my Mickey ice cream bar for free, and told me it was my "magical moment."  Yes Disney.  You win.
  • The weather.  75 and sunny the whole time.  Love it.
  • When two workers walked up to us and asked if we wanted fast passes for a couple rides in the park.  Ummmm... yes please.
  • We wore pins that said "Happily Ever After" so everyone would know we were on our honeymoon.  Pretty much every worker we passed told us "Congratulations", and we got lots of free perks. :)
In other words, we had fun.  And most the bad stuff was slightly funny.  Except for the lady that wouldn't let me recline my seat on a 4 hour flight.  Jerk.

Here we are on the plane ride.  You can tell how excited Cord is.

Lunch at the Hollywood Brown Derby.  SUPER fancy.

Sci-Fi Dine In Theater!  Yum.

Cord and Sleeping Beauty :)
Yep.  That pretty much sums it up.  Florida was a blast!

Wedding Day- Part 2

Here I am, back again, it's reception time!  First of all, may I just say... I love my bridesmaids!!!  They were the best.  I had a minor bride-zilla freak out right before the reception and was kind of yelling a bit and telling people what to do a lot.... and my girls were just great :)  Thanks for putting up with me and being such a help Jamie, Emily, and Sloan!!  And thanks a million for the mountain dew... you ladies know me way too well.

The reception was really fun!  There were so many great people that came out and supported us!  And I'm pretty sure everything went pretty well... minus the fact that I didn't get to spend a good solid hour by the fountains.  That's right, THESE fountains.

Now look me in the eye (figuratively) and tell me that's not the most beautiful thing you've ever seen.  They probably should have made the receiving line right by the table, but you can't have everything, right?
Also, the flowers were gorgeous!  I was really impressed with the lady that did them.

Pretty pretty flowers!
After standing in line for a wee bit, it was time to cut the cake.  Did I shove it in Cord's face?  Probably.

And then it was time to do bouquet toss.  How exciting.

Now if this is not an action shot, I don't know what is.

I was sad for the reception to be over!  It's crazy, you put hours and hours, and so much money, into this one day!  And then it's over and all you have are pictures and memories!  And most those memories are a blur.

Here we go!  Off to our car!  People blew bubbles and stuff.  Not quite as good as chinese lanterns being released into the sky, but eh.  What can be done?

My silly friends Emily, Kaitlyn, and Jamie missed the send-off memo, but maybe they were just trying to make it more personal?
Yep.  I think so.

Wedding night.  Yes I will keep it PG!  Because all we did was play chess and sip sparkling apple cider!  And eat the entire package of strawberries that Dave Wiser stole from the caterer and covered in chocolate from the chocolate fountain!  Truly, that made my day perfect.  YUM.
Above you can see the cute little table that our room provided.  How cute.

Anyways, the hotel was awesome!  I am a big fan of Anniversary Inn.  There were rose petals all over the floor, there was romantic music playing, there was a fireplace, we got cheesecake, the tub was awesome and I probably took an hour long bath that night while Cord watched TV or played Angry Birds or something, and then to top it off, breakfast in bed!!!
A+ Anniversary Inn.  Good job.

Even though everyone knows I hate love, and weddings, the above-mentioned stuff changed my mind.  Slightly.

Wedding Day! (Part 1)

Once upon a time, I was supposed to wake up at 5:00 in the morning for my wedding, cuz my hair girl Lindsey was going to show up at my house at 5:45.  Good thing I woke up at 5:44.  Dang it.  I showered anyway... super super fast.  I had my bridesmaids come over when I was pretty much ready to go to the temple, and we took pictures :)  Can I just say I LOVED my hair and make-up girl??  She did an amazing job!  Thanks Signature Brides!

We got to the temple, and everyone was so nice!  One cool thing was that my temple helper was Sister Parkin, who was a past general relief society president.  Anyway, the sealing went great; everything went so smoothly!  It was so weird that all the sudden, Cord and I were husband and wife!  Crazy.

MARRIED!!!  TA DA.

Then we did pictures on the temple grounds.  It was so so so so so so cold.  By the end of the shoot, both our hands were numb.  Ha.  But it was worth it!  Justin did an amazing job!

A couple of my favorites...

We were probably like... an hour and a half late for our luncheon!  But our luncheon was great :)  We had lots of smoked meat provided by Cord's uncle.  It was delicious!  It was so much fun to spend a few hours with all the most important people in our lives, even on such a hectic day.

After the luncheon, we had about an hour and a half to until we had to leave for the Carmelle, so I went home (to my parents' house?) to finish packing up the last of my stuff, and finish packing for the honeymoon!  Instead, I fell asleep for about two hours.  Oops.

To Be Continued... :)

1.22.2012

Oops.

Long time, no blog.

Hey.  Life has been crazy lately.  I got endowed, got married, threw a giant party, went to sunny Florida for a week, made it through Christmas and Cord's birthday, moved in to an apartment, adopted two puppies, and started a new semester of school.

Not to brag or anything.

I totally want to talk about all of the above, but it will most likely take me some time.  So let's just talk about getting endowments, shall we?  Ha ha, not that there is much I can say, but I CAN say that I was super nervous before-hand.  Cord told me my face looked scared the entire time.  Maybe.  But anyways, I am so glad I got to share this experience with Cord, my parents, his parents, and our families.

Afterwards, we all went to Iggy's for dinner.  Yum!

Oh here we are.  How adorable.

Anyhoo, I am glad I did this.  And that Cord did.  Go us.
