Our Summer

summer got the best of me and i never got around to updating the blog..

we had a great, busy summer that went by too quickly.

so i will update mostly in pictures!

we stayed at the cabin, we played at bear lake, we ate a lot of ice cream, we went to st george, we went paddle boarding, we spent time with family, we played with friends, we got a new car, we survived apart for almost a month, we planted a garden, we played at the pool, we played a little pokemon go :), and we went to lagoon.
aria is nearly 3 and is such a smart, spunky, sweet little girl. she loves princesses and batman and super why and pj masks and surprise eggs on youtube. when i ask her what she wants for her birthday, she tells me a scooter and a taco. when i ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she says a ghost. she loves to take care of her baby dolls more than anything.
skylar can cruise on furniture like a pro and has started trying to stand on her own. she claps and has the most adorable wave and likes to dance and try to follow aria everywhere. she is the sweetest, happiest little thing.
unfortunately, we found out that skylar has the hht gene that i do. hht is a blood vessel disorder where some of your blood vessels are missing capillaries. in a nutshell, this makes it easier for blood vessels to burst, and puts you at risk for a bleed.  this can be anything from a minor annoyance to life threatening. our next step is to get an mri on her in a couple weeks to make sure she doesnt have any of these malformations in her brain. she has a good chance of not having any there so we are hopeful. i was really hoping the hht gene would end with me, but life wasnt meant to be easy i suppose!
anyway, on to my favorite season of all, autumn!

May 2016

Can I just say I can't believe the year is already almost halfway over??!

Anyway, our May was filled with playing outside and making Baskin Robbins runs (it's literally right down the street, i haven't decided if this is a good thing or bad thing yet...)

First off, Aria is officially POTTY TRAINED!  It is oh-so-nice to have only one in diapers.  She still wears a pull up to bed until the pull ups are gone but other than that, she is doing SO well and has like, no accidents!  Here is my secret- a lot of dumdum suckers and ice cream as prizes.  Ha ha.

Skylar turned 5 months in May!  She is over the sleep regression (finally) and sleeps nearly through the night most nights.  I am a bit of a sleep Nazi when it comes to my kids but mama needs her sleep ;)  Sky is a little bit in love with both rice cereal and oatmeal.  She is literally the smiliest, happiest little baby I've ever met.  She especially loves church because there are so many new people to smile at.

For Mother's Day Cord let me take a nice long nap after church (which he actually does every Sunday heh heh). This year my gift was new patio furniture for our front porch and also a fire table and chairs for the backyard.  We bought it all from my parents, so we got a good deal :)

On Memorial Day we took the girls to the zoo with Grandpa and Grandma Millward.  Skylar spend the majority of the time sitting in the stroller and sticking her tongue out because that's just what she does.  Aria had fun seeing the animals, especially petting the snake.  She also rode the carousel and I'm pretty sure that was her very favorite thing there.

So here are some May pictures!

April 2016

I'm a little late posting this, but oh well!

In April Skylar turned 4 months! She weighed in at 15 pounds 11 oz!  She is a cute little chunk.  We started giving her a little rice cereal and she absolutely loves it.  She is such a smiley little thing, and adores her big sister.

We also finally had Skylar blessed in April.  It was so great.  We had so many great family and friends come out for the occasion, and people finally got to see our house!  (Which was probably the cleanest it'll ever be ha ha)

Other than that, April was filled with playdates, Super Why, playing outside when it wasn't stormy, and Cord working and finishing up his semester.  Also one (hopefully last) ER visit for me because I was having lung pain again and so that's never a good thing.  It turned out to be residual pain again, which can last years.  Oh cool.

Anyhoo, here are April pics!
